About WildPath

A platform for the anti-tourist.

WildPath exists for travelers who are tired of polished tours, mass-produced itineraries, and “hidden gems” that show up on three blogs. We do the opposite.

Our thesis

Scarcity over scale.

We believe the outdoor industry has a problem: the more popular an experience becomes, the less it resembles what it was supposed to be. Tours inflate, guides thin out, landscapes wear down, and the guest goes home with photos that look like everyone else's.

WildPath is a P2P marketplace for a different kind of traveller — one who wants fewer options, but real ones. We keep our inventory intentionally small, our hosts fiercely local, and our listings honest about difficulty and risk.

Every experience here has to survive three filters: expertise (the host has mastery, not enthusiasm), authenticity (the land, culture, or skill is genuinely represented), and privacy (exact locations stay off the open web).

What we stand for

Five pillars, no compromise.

Radical transparency
Risk, difficulty, and weather realities are disclosed up front. No softening.
Scarcity
Hosts are capped. Waitlists are real. Some experiences run only twice a year.
Local mastery
Hosts have decade-plus relationships with the land they guide in. We verify this directly.
Real wilderness
No sanitized resorts. Wet feet, long days, and the full face of the jungle.
Privacy-first
Coordinates are shared on booking. Host identities are protected. Crowds never arrive.
Zeus vetting

Every host sits with Zeus.

“Zeus” is our founder’s working alias for this role. It is one person. Every host application passes through this same desk.

01
Application
Expertise, certifications, sample work, and a written statement of intent — submitted through WildPath.
02
Direct review
Zeus reviews everything personally: credentials, references where available, and fit for our five pillars.
03
Conversation
A call or an in-person meeting. Hosts explain how they run their experiences, and what they refuse to compromise on.
04
Listing approval
Each listing is separately reviewed for honesty, difficulty rating, inclusions, and safety load-out.
